It is with a great deal of pleasure and excitement that the Australia and New Zealand Solar Energy Society (ANZSES) announces details of the International Solar Energy Society's 2001 Solar World Congress, to be held in the Adelaide Convention Centre, Australia, from 25 November to 2 December 2001.

The theme of Bringing Solar Down to Earth includes:

• the business opportunities arising from the implementation of renewable energy technologies
• community awareness of the benefits of using renewable energy
• striking the balance between developed and developing regions.
