Corporate Email Environment Upgrade

During November, ISTS will be upgrading the Corporate Email environment for staff to the latest Microsoft version, Exchange 2007.

The upgrade will provide improvements with performance and reliability for all users. Some functionality of Webmail and Active-sync have been enhanced in the new version also.

Staff Mailbox base quotas will be increased from 60Mb to 200Mb. Please note, where staff have purchased additional mailbox quotas, their quota will be adjusted according to the new base quota, plus their number of increments purchased. Please refer to http://www.unisa.edu.au/ists/Email/restrictions.asp.

Users attempting to access their emails from the email link within the Staff or Student Portal's, will be prompted with an additional login prompt.
This new Webmail login provides an enhanced security feature that allows users to select whether they are using a Private (Work or Home PC), or Public Computer (Pool PC or Internet Cafe, etc) thereby ensuring appropriate security measures are applied accordingly. Users requiring an accessible email option, or who have a slow internet link also can now select to use the 'Outlook Web Access Light' option for improved accessibility and performance.
