User Guides and Software
There are several methods to connect to the network at UniSA. For wireless connection the recommended method of authentication is 802.1x. Most new wireless adapters and operating systems will support this method of authentication. Older wireless adapters that do not support 802.1x should connect using the Cisco VPN software.
Note: All files are password protected for access only by UniSA students
and staff. Your will need to enter your UniSA username and password.

Remote Access using Cisco IPSec VPN - off-campus
The Cisco IPSec VPN Client is the recommended method of connecting to the University network from off-campus. The current Cisco IPSec VPN Client software is very simple to install and requires no configuration.
Important: You will need to download both the User guide and the the VPN Client software that are appropriate for you operating system.
- User guides: Windows 7, Windows(XP/Vista) , MAC OSX 10.3, Mac OSX (10.4 onwards), Linux (generic), Ubuntu
- Cisco VPN Clients: Windows (32-bit) , Windows (64-bit), Mac OSX 10.3, Mac OSX (10.4 onwards), Linux (generic), Ubuntu
- Configuration files: UniSA Remote Access VPN network
Note for Linux Users
If you are using an implementation of Linux other than Ubuntu you must use the generic Linux Client. You may need to modify the VPN Client software to work with your particular flavour of Linux. Instructions can be found in the generic Linux guide.Note for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Users (64-bit)
A native VPN connection can be configured within Mac OS X (64-bit) to allow for connection to the UniSA VPN server, as per the Mac OS X 10.7 64-bit VPN guide, which describes the steps required for setup.
Remote Access using the Cisco AnyConnect Client
The Cisco AnyConnect Client is based on SSL connectivity and supports both 32 and 64 bit operating systems. The user guide outlines the steps required to download and install the required software.
