How do I update a standalone (site) licence?

SPSS standalone (site) licences expire yearly requiring a new licence key to continue use. To gain this licence key, you will need to contact the
IT Help Desk who will check your eligibility. Once you have the licence key, follow these steps to
update your licence key:
For SPSS v17 and PASW v18
- Click Start > All Programs > SPSS Inc > Statistics v17

- Click SPSS Statistics 17.0/PASW Statistics 18.0 License Authorization Wizard
- You will be presented with a License Status screen. Click Next

- Select License my product now. NB - If you are NOT on a university machine, skip to step 9

- Click Connect to the internet through a proxy server

- In the pop-up window, enter the following
- Address - www-proxy.unisa.edu.au
- Port - 8080
- Tick Login required
- Enter your username and password in the corresponding fields

- Click Test Connection. If you were successful, you will see a green "Connection succeeded" appear above the OK button
- Click OK
- You will see the authorisation process begin. If you were successful, you will see a large green tick and "Successfully processed all codes" appear.

- Click Next and then Finish
