My computer is broken, how do I get it fixed?

Please contact the IT Help Desk by raising a self service call or calling the IT Help Desk on x25000 if the matter is urgent, describing the exact nature of the problem. The IT Help Desk will organise for your local IT support team to look at your computer.

If the computer requires a warranty repair the local IT support team will raise a service call to the IT Help Desk. The service call should include the following information:

  1. Blue Plate number.
  2. Serial number of the computer. The monitor serial number is also required if this is the subject of the warranty request.
  3. A precise description of the problem.
  4. Vendor.
  5. Contact name and phone number.
  6. Campus, building and room.
