How do I download, install and configure Dropbox at UniSA?

Dropbox could be downloaded from www.dropbox.com.
Once the file is downloaded, please double click on the file to start application installation.

After click the "Install" button, it will start the installation procedure.

When the installation procedure is finished, Dropbox will automatically check the network environment to connect to external server.
If the connection is unsuccessful, a connection error message box will pop-up to let user check connection Options.

Please choose "Manual" for Proxy settings and "HTTP" for Proxy type.
The proxy server is: www-proxy.unisa.edu.au with port: 8080.
Please tick on "Proxy server requires a password" then input a valid UniSA user account and password.

Dropbox will then connect to external server and it will ask if user already have a Dropbox account or not.
In this scenario we assume that we already have an account and click "Next" to continue. If you do not have an account you can select the first option and follow the steps to create an account.

Then please input the Dropbox account information and click "Next".

Free account will get 2GB space.

Dropbox will generate a folder on user's machine to sync all items/folders stored on the server.
User could choose typical or advanced settings to setup the folder.

Choose advanced settings will let user manually setup the folder name and location on their local machine.

User could also choose to sync all or part of items from server to their local machine.

After all these settings, Dropbox application will show a step by step guidance.
If user is already familiar with this, just click "skip tour" should be fine.

All settings for Dropbox are finalized.
Please click "Finish" to confirm the completion of installation/configuration procedure.

A pop-up message box should indicate Dropbox connection is successfully established.

If user would like to change relevant settings after installation, please right click on the Dropbox icon and choose "Preferences".
