If you access Internet data from your Optus mobile phone (e.g. for email, calendar, contacts or web pages) you may need a setting changed on your handset when you join the UniSA 3G data bucket plan. Apple iPhones and USB broadband modems are not affected but other mobile handsets need their Access Point Name (APN) setting changed to maintain their Internet connectivity when they join the plan.
For Apple iPhones the APN setting cannot be changed and is the same whether or not the phone is in the data plan.
For other handsets a different APN setting is required depending whether the mobile phone is:
If your phone is accessing Internet data successfully this indicates that it has the correct APN setting.
