Software and Hardware Search
To find a local computer pool or barn that has the software or hardware you require please use the relevant search field below:
To search for a software item, visit the Pool Software and Hardware Search page, type the name (or part of the name) of the software that you are looking for in the Software field, select the campus, then click the Search button.
Details of the standard software available on student computers is available on the Computer Pools Hardware and Software webpage.
To search for a hardware item, visit the Pool Software and Hardware Search page, select the description of the hardware that you are looking for from the list in the Hardware field, select the campus, then click the Search button.
All pools and computer barns have Intel-based computers with at least 4 GB memory (most have 8 GB) and only certain key hardware differences between pools are included in the search list. Audio sockets provided are for use with headsets only - not speakers.
Most Computing Pools and all Computer Barns have audio sockets on the front of the monitor shelf or in an audio front panel on each computer (in pools with both please use the shelf-mounted sockets). The audio sockets are for use with headsets only - not speakers. In most cases they have both headphone and microphone sockets and can be used with headsets with built-in microphones. Check the hardware search facility above for locations. Students need to provide their own headsets.
