The University of South Australia through its enterprise agreement with Microsoft are pleased to offer UniSA Anywhere free to all UniSA staff.
UniSA Anywhere allows staff to take advantage of Microsoft's Office 365 ProPlus suite of software which includes Office 2013 and 1TB of free 'cloud' storage (OneDrive) accessible anywhere, anytime or from any device.
Microsoft Office 2013 is the latest version of the Microsoft Office suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access and more.
You can install this software for free on up to 5 personally managed devices (desktop, phone or tablet). The Office suite will run on Apple, Android and Windows devices.
NOTE: Do not install this software on UniSA managed Blue Plate devices – it will not install correctly. Office 2013 will be gradually rolled out to these devices.
OneDrive (formerly 'SkyDrive') provides you with 1TB of FREE storage "in the cloud", which you can access from any where at any time provided you have access to the internet.
All files you store in OneDrive are private; however you can choose to share files with those you nominate and you can also place files in your OneDrive 'Shared With Everyone' folder to share with all UniSA staff and students.
If you prefer to use a desktop client rather than web browser you can install the OneDrive for Business Client on your computer/device and then sync it with your OneDrive library.
Office Online (formerly 'Office Web Apps') gives you access to online web-based versions of four commonly-used Microsoft Office products: Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online and OneNote Online.
The products in the Office Online suite allow you to read and edit files stored in your OneDrive library directly in a web browser, even if the device does not have Microsoft Office installed.
To learn how to get the most out of Office Online please refer to Microsoft's Office Online support resources:
Office 365 for Business is free to all UniSA staff and is an optional product, so it is up to each staff member to decide how they use (or don't use) the services offered by their Office 365 account.
You must reset your UniSA password prior to accessing your Office 365 for Business account for the first time.
Your Office 365 username is in the following format: [username]@unisa.edu.au. It is important to note that your Office 365 for Business username is NOT your UniSA staff email address (your staff email address is [firstname].[lastname]@unisa.edu.au - read more here).
If you require further information or assistance please refer to UniSA's Office 365 for Business / OneDrive FAQs and Microsoft's Office 365 for Business Learning Centre, or contact the IT Help Desk.
