Construction Management & Economics

Every construction project is different, with new challenges in planning,

Urban and Regional Planning

Our landscape is a mosaic of cities, towns, suburbs, neighbourhoods and
rural areas. The practice of urban and regional planning is essentially about
designing and managing the shared spaces in which people live.

Planners have the social responsibility of setting the policy framework within which land use is managed, and development takes place. This important role aims to make our cities, towns and regions visually appealing, ecologically sustainable, socially inclusive, efficient and economically productive. A particular emphasis is placed upon ensuring that areas cater for different groups and individuals in an equitable, ethical and inclusive manner and that our cities, towns and regions provide a high quality of life and a range of opportunities for all.

At UniSA, we encourage you to challenge and question the way in which
our cities and regions are currently designed and managed with a view to
recognising what aspects should be maintained and what should be improved. These attributes make our graduates highly sought after by employers.
