At the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment, our five academic schools, three flagship research institutes and related research concentrations are at the cutting edge of teaching, research and knowledge transfer in four areas that are among the most significant to modern society:

Each is strong in its own right, but it is the multi-disciplinary nature of our work that sets us apart. Computing is at the heart of modern defence and manufacturing systems, just as new approaches to manufacturing are vital if we are to achieve environmental sustainability without compromising modern living standards.
