Background
Haolan Xu studied at the Najing Unviersity of Technology where he obtained a
Bachelor degree in Materials Science & Engineering in 2003. He then studied
at the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science, obtaining
his PhD in Materials Chemistry & Physics in 2008. His thesis topic was the
Study of Crystal Growth Mechanism of Nanomaterials; Synthesis and Study of
Photocatalysts for Degradation of Pollutants and H2 Harvest; Study of the
Relationship between the Crystal Facet and Their Corresponding Catalytic
