Welcome to Knowledge Works
Welcome from the Vice Chancellor and President
If
you're visiting this website, you obviously have an interest in learning,
whether it is about a topic which has an impact on your career or on your life.
I would like to invite you to learn more about our research by attending one or more of the Knowledge Works presentations.
The researchers at UniSA recognise substance amidst the ordinary and it is their energy and acuity which are helping to bring about solutions to the major issues of our time. I commend their passion, their persistence, their patience and above all, their will to make a difference for the better. I encourage you to learn more about the contributions we are making to our communities, both nationally and internationally.
Ultimately, that is a key purpose and responsibility of ours: to fulfil our vision by building partnerships, engaging with our community and disseminating knowledge.
Professor Peter Høj,
Vice Chancellor and President
Welcome from the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: Research and Innovation
Knowledge Works offers you a golden opportunity to hear from some of UniSA's leading researchers as well as from other international world-class institutions with whom we are linked. Each presenter will take you on a journey, sharing their research insights in a densely packed hour of information and discussion, giving you the opportunity to have your questions answered.
You will be presented with exciting findings, potential implications and future directions from across the university's diverse research areas including health and medical research, materials and minerals science, social and environmental sustainability, telecommunications, marketing science, and defence and security. UniSA is committed to research that is linked to outcomes that impact our community.
The 2012 series will present insights across a broad range of contemporary issues including genomics and personalised medicine, the future of water management and Muslim and Non-Muslim understanding in our society and beyond, to mention just a few.
I take great pleasure in inviting you to be a part of the Knowledge Works series. Simply subscribe on-line to receive email invitations to each month's upcoming lecture.
