One week of work experience at C.S.C., Technology Park.

 

To find my place and be involved in, a professional company working with Information Technology. To do this, I will undertake varied work, so that I can have a better understanding of the work that I am trained for. I anticipate that I will find employment in systems engineering, programming, networking, or as a computer hardware specialist.

 

Roger's describes his career highlights below:
Currently I am the Sports Officer at the Australian Luther Collage, where I board. The position includes organising and running events including mixed touch football, mixed netball, a squash competition, upgrading gym equipment, and managing the sports budget. As a senior member of the Boarding Collage it is also my duty to help new students settle into the collage and make new friends. I also help organise the cultural events that are run, and enjoy participating in all of the above events and sporting activities.

During my summer vacation work at Angas park, I worked on a tray-scraping machine. This involved working with, and helping to organising the 10 staff involved in the process. It also included solving any problems that occurred during the shifts, especially when the supervisor was absent and left me in charge.

At the supermarket I previously worked at, I cleaned the meat cabinet every Saturday afternoon after the shop had closed to customers. This was also unsupervised work as I was the only employee working at that time, and when I finished cleaning had to close the shop.

I also work for my father on his farm during the mid year holidays when I return home.
