Course Outline

During 2011, the Course Information Booklet (CIB) will be replaced by the Course Outline.

To ensure that all information is provided to students in advance of the course commencement, course information including objectives, assessment requirements, text books, teaching staff and a course calendar will be compiled into a common framework.

The Course Outline system provides staff with an efficient way to develop a course outline for each course offering. Features of the system include:

an intuitive interface for easy navigation a wizard driven process for creating you course outline pre-populated fields with approved information from the PCMS course statements quick-copy of previous course outlines for future study periods automatic publication to the learnonline course site direct submission to Document Services for printing.

The Course Outline system creates a simple document containing information required by legislation that will inform enrolled students regarding the course content.

The Course Outline system will be available for selected courses from study period 5, 2011.
