Student Email

UniSA, in co-operation with Microsoft, is providing all students with a communication environment which includes a hosted email service.

All students have been provided with a new student email account.  All existing mailbox content, including: email, contacts or calendar entries, has been migrated automatically. Emails sent to the previous mail addresses will automatically be routed to the hosted email service for a minimum of 12 months.

The service will remain 'for life', meaning the email account will be usable after a student has graduated. The mail address structure is 'username'@mymail.unisa.edu.au and is used by undergraduate, postgraduate and alumni students.

Benefits The benefits of the new student email service re: 10 GB mailbox capacity, Spam and virus filtering, and Access via many platforms: Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Safari for Mac Opera for Windows Firefox (Mac and Windows) Mobile devices supporting ActiveSync

Student email is an online collaborative environment. In addition to providing an email service it also provides:

• a LiveID that is used for other Microsoft Live services
• ample online storage space (25GB)
