Referring students to the Learning and Teaching Unit

Students can be referred to the LTU when you are concerned about:

Please note that the process of direct referral to a Language and Learning Adviser no longer applies to internal UniSA students (except in the case where such a referral is the outcome of a student meeting with an Academic Integrity Officer). Instead internal UniSA students should be referred to the English Language Assessment Tool (ELSAT).

How to refer students to the LTU

  1. Fill out the e-referral, making sure you fill in all fields provided
  2. Submit the form

Groups of students

To recommend a group of students email the LTU, identify the campus, students and the type of intervention you think they need. You can also call the LTU on campus to discuss the situation.

Risk management

Do not use the e-referral form if you believe that a student is at risk of self-harm or harming others. If you believe a student is in need of urgent assistance or support, call your local LTU office.  If a more critical incident has occurred, contact security who will attend contact the on call counsellor.
