ATN Industry Doctoral Training Centre (Mathematics and Statistics)

University of South Australia Node

Mawson Lakes CampusWelcome to the website of the University of South Australia node of the Australian Technology Network's Industry Doctoral Training Centre (Mathematics and Statistics), or IDTC.

The IDTC is the first Doctoral Training Centre in Australia, and is home to an innovative 4-year doctoral training program in mathematics.

The IDTC will train graduates in applied mathematical or statistical techniques, modelling methodologies and communication and business skills for future employment in Australian industry.

Industry based research projects are central to the IDTC, with doctoral candidates able to undertake a PhD level research project of critical importance to an industry partner, supported by academic supervisors and potentially with additional supervision from partner organisations.

Nodes of the IDTC are located in each Australian mainland state, at all of the ATN Universities. The UniSA node of the IDTC is located with the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the Mawson Lakes Campus.
