The second round of the very successful community event 'Bring Us
Your Bugs', launched by the Barbara Hardy Centre for Sustainable Urban
Environments in January this year, took place on Wednesday, 7 October at
the SA Museum. The event was developed and held in conjunction with the SA
Museum, ABC Adelaide, Burt's Bees, Department for Environment & Heritage
and other industry and community partners.
Over 700
families attended the event with many 'most wanted' bugs found in their
homes and were presented with School of NBE show bags in appreciation of
their participation and contribution to the Centre's research efforts.
NBE students from the Masters
course “Wildlife in Cities” and those from our undergraduate course
“Science Communication” assisted on the day.
The day was a
terrific success, with special thanks going to Prof Chris Daniels,
Philip Roetman, Carolyn Schubert and Natalie Iglio.
