UniSA staff and students joined Surveyors Board SA members and industry guests to officially launch the new Master of Surveying at the Bradley Forum on Monday, 26 October.
Prof Chris Daniels, Head of Research for the School of NBE welcomed
guests and UniSA Vice Chancellor Prof Peter Hoj provided an overview of
the positive impact the new postgraduate program would have on the
industry demand for cadastral surveyors since the Bachelor of
Geoinformatics was withdrawn in 2006.
Guests also heard from Surveyor General SA Peter Kentish and Chair of
the Surveyors Board SA, Michael Burdett on the crucial need for a
professional pathway into licensed surveying and the benefits of this
ongoing partnership between UniSA, government and industry.
