Online CareerShop open for business

UniSA's new CareerShop homepageThis Sunday, UniSA isn’t just opening its doors to high school students for its annual Open Day – it is also opening a special online portal, CareerShop to help students further their career journey long after Open Day.

CareerShop allows secondary students to create their own, customised site with lots of relevant and useful information about the study programs they may be interested in, as well as events, news and helpful links.

Featuring podcasts, vodcasts and interviews with students, graduates and lecturers, CareerShop is cool, totally interactive – and an Australian university first.

“Open Day is a great way for students to come to a UniSA campus, get information about study programs, speak to lecturers and get a feel for life on campus,” Darren McInnes, UniSA’s Domestic Student Recruitment Manager, said.

“But it’s really just the start of a students’ career development. CareerShop adds another altogether new and exciting dimension by making it easier for them to find out more about what career path they want to embark on. And it allows them to browse before they buy!”

Students can register for CareerShop at UniSA’s Open Day, this Sunday August 17 at the City West campus.

“We really want visiting students to make themselves at home this Sunday,” Mr McInnes said.

“They’ll be able to meet staff who teach our programs and get first-hand information from students studying at UniSA.

“There will be more than 80 different lectures on a range of topics including detailed program information, student exchange opportunities, and eligibility for adult entry and study opportunities for international students.”
