UniSA enters Hall of Fame for tourism education
The
University of South Australia’s
School of Management
has been inducted into the state’s coveted Tourism Hall of Fame.
Head of School
Professor John Benson is delighted the School of Management was
named South Australia’s best in tourism education and training at the
2010 South Australian Tourism Awards on November 18.
UniSA’s School of Management was one of just four inductees into the
Tourism Hall
of Fame, which requires winning the same category three years in a
row.
“This is a great honour for the School and UniSA and reflects the
quality of our tourism programs, our teaching team and our professional
staff,” Prof Benson says.
“We’re delighted to have won the Tourism Education and Training category
for three consecutive years and to now enter the Tourism Hall of Fame is
a great honour.”
The South Australian Tourism Awards are one of the state’s most
recognised and prestigious industry awards.
Other Hall of Fame inductees were the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre near
Rowland Flat (tourist attraction), Adelaide Convention Centre (meetings
and business tourism), and Unforgettable Houseboats (unique
accommodation).
