Recognition of prior learning
Students must be enrolled in their program before they can apply for recognition of prior learning. To assist them with planning their degree, students are advised to apply for credit at the beginning of their program.

Students should check the online Credit Assessor to access information on formal credit transfer arrangements between UniSA and other institutions in Australia, as well as in other countries.
All applications must include:
Enrolled NursesCertificated Enrolled Nurses with a current practising Certificate or Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled) can receive credit for their previous studies.
Postgraduate programsQueen Elizabeth Hospital & Adelaide Community Health Care Alliance Students holding the following nurse specialist certificates awarded by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Adelaide Community Health Care Alliance will be granted a maximum of 18 units towards the Graduate Diploma in Nursing or the Master of Nursing provided the qualification has been completed no more than 10 years prior to an application for admission. The relevant Hospital Certificates for which credit may be granted are: Advanced Surgical/Medical Nursing; Anaesthetics and Recovery; Coronary Care; Emergency; Intensive Care; Medical Imaging; Nephrology; Operating Room and Perioperative. |

Exemption means receiving recognition for a portion of a course. That is, the student enrols in the course and pays full student contribution fees for the course but does not have to complete all the requirements for the course. Students requesting exemption need to follow the directions set out in the application form below. Please go to the course home page for specific information identified under learning resources.
