Annual Food Industry Forum for Nutrition Research
The
forum is an annual event aimed at fostering dialogue between nutrition
researchers and food manufacturers to exploit recent advances in nutritional
science for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Governments and health professionals acknowledge that food and nutrition are
core to the health issues facing an ageing population.
Our food choices are both the cause and the solution. Developing and
maintaining optimal health throughout life calls for diet and lifestyle
recommendations tailored to individual needs.
Nutrition research is providing the evidence to underpin recommendations and
to stimulate food innovation. The forum provides a regular opportunity to
discuss recent advances in nutrition knowledge and their potential
application to our food supply and to establish directions and commitments
for further value-adding nutrition research.
