Director

Jon completed his PhD in exercise science in 1997 and has specific expertise in assessing the role of both diet and exercise for improving physical function and cardiometabolic health in populations ranging from elite athletes to patients with chronic disease.

Research Professor

Peter was the founding director of the NPRC and is Editor-in-Chief of 'Nutrients'. He is an authority on nutrition and cardiovascular health. In partnership with the food industry, he is substantiating the health benefits of functional foods and bioactive nutrients.

Returning to Adelaide from University of Colorado, Alison brings expertise in biomarker analysis of the cardiovascular and metabolic benefits of nutrients.

Dr Karen Murphy BAppSc(Hons), PhD, RNutr
NHMRC Industry Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow

Karen has expertise in evaluating the cardiometabolic health benefits of dietary lipids, particularly omega-3, antioxidants, dairy and other foods and nutrients in human dietary intervention trials. She has extensive experience in fatty acid analysis.

Post-doctoral Research Fellow

Rebecca has expertise in evaluating the role of lifestyle treatments involving diet and physical activity for improving health in overweight populations and assessing potential treatments to reduce tissue inflammation and promote tissue repair following muscle damage.

Janet has expertise in cognitive assessment across the life-span and in investigating the effects of nutrition on cognition and mental health.
