Information from BUPA regarding Changes to Private Health Insurance Rebates
As at 1 July 2012 the Federal Government will increase the Medicare Levy Surcharge for high income earners and this will affect some staff.
Paying your full health insurance premium for the 2012/2013 financial year in advance will delay the impact of income testing until 2013/2014 financial tax year.
Further information is provided in the linked documents or please email Mandy Soulsby (mandy.soulsby@bupa.com.au) the UniSA Corporate Health Cover adviser for further advice on which health cover level will be most advantageous for you.

January 2012:
The OHSW&IM Policy and Strategic OHSW plan have reached the end of the 2009 – 2011 planning period.
The new policy and plan are currently under development with the intention of incorporating changes to legislation that are expected but have been delayed in South Australia pending further parliamentary debate.
In the interim the intent and direction of the 2009 – 2011 documents remains appropriate and therefore can still be utilised until the new documents are finalised. This should occur around March 2012.
