Public Relations: Internships, Placements and Work Experience
UniSA PR Facebook PageUniSA PR LinkedIn Page

The School of Communication, International Studies and Languages invites the public relations profession to contribute to the development of future graduates by providing experiential learning opportunities.

The Internship & Placement Program is part of the Bachelor of Public Relations degree delivered at UniSA. The degree is accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) and is supported locally by the PRIA (SA).

Through work experience, placements and internships, we hope to increase the collaboration between UniSA and the public relations profession. Experiential learning is a large part of UniSA's approach to education and our students are always looking for new opportunities to practice the skills they have been developing.

Some students work individually on communication projects from inception to completion, while others contribute to a number of projects in areas such as media relations, publications, strategy development, organisation of events and other activities. Students normally undertake 120 hours of supervised work and in place of payment, work places are expected to contribute to student learning by providing assistance and constructive feedback.

This site is designed to provide advice and guidance for employers interested in providing experience for students and for those already hosting interns or student placements.
