Counting on success

Joe PiscioneriI was looking for career advancement and a colleague at work recommended UniSA. I had an Associate Diploma, but wanted a higher qualification – I wanted to be a CPA.

Studying externally gave me the flexibility I needed while working full-time. But you have to have the commitment to do the work and prepare for exams. Of course it can affect your social life for a while – but it’s worth it. The investment has paid off in terms of career and income and will continue to do so.

I’m now the Group Financial Accountant at Northline Freight Management. Northline has its own Graduate Wheel Program where we look to recruit people who want to make a difference and I now find myself in a position where I employ staff from time to time. As far as I’m concerned applicants have got an advantage if I see that they’ve studied at a high quality university such as UniSA.
