Welcome to study in the School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy at UniSA!

Orientation activities introduce you to campus life, to people, to new ways of teaching and learning and to the multitude of resources and support available at the University of South Australia.

We invite all new students to join in our school's Enrolment Advice and Orientation activities to make your transition to university study a smooth one.

    MBPU and MHPU students should not enrol until after this session.

    There will be opportunities to enrol on campus and assistance available from U-buddies during the day.

ORIENTATION - ALL STUDENTS
 

  • EARLY PREPARATION WORKSHOPS
     

    These workshops are offered in February for commencing internal and external students who are mature age and returning to study after a break. They are designed to assist you to prepare for your first year at university, meet other mature age students and complement your program specific orientation. Topics covered include:
    - what to expect at university
    - managing life as a student
    - academic reading and writing
    Dates and registration will be available at the Early Preparation Workshops website soon.

    We invite all new students to join us for lunch and drinks supplied by the school.

    There will be further sessions, games and activities for students throughout the day including the following sessions:

    2-3pm "Experiencing Success at Uni"  D1-20 Auditorium  Magill
    This session prepares you for what to expect in the first few weeks and beyond,
    strategies for successful study and managing your academic workload through the academic year.
    3-4pm  "Balancing Life, Uni and Everything!" D1-20 Auditorium Magill
    Tips on achieving a good balance between study and other commitments such as work, family and social life, plus how to access support at uni if stress, personal or health issues start to impact on your studies.
    4-5pm "Online@UniSA" C1-82, C1-83  Magill
    A resource designed to help you understand the major components of the university's online environment, including myUniSA, learnonline, email, the library and more. U-buddies are available during these sessions to help you work through the resource.
