PQS frequently asked questions

How do I login to the PQS?

Logging into the PQS requires your UNINET username and password. For more information, please refer to the PQS User Guide - 3.0 Login and Project Search (page 3).

How do I enter a CAT 1/ACG submission into PQS?

In general, all CAT 1 proposals should be and are handled by the Research Capacity and Compliance (RCC) Office within RIS and not entered into PQS directly. Please email Capacity and Compliance with your proposal - email: ResearchCapacity@unisa.edu.au

How do I add client details in Finance One General Debtors Client Master list?

A new Client/Industry Partner needs to be registered in Finance One and allocated a Debtors Code prior to being available for selection in the PQS. To set up a new Client/Industry Partner in the PQS, please complete this online form which will be forwarded to both Accounts Receivable in Finance and Clare Pike in Research & Innovation Services. The Client/Industry Partners details should be available for selection in the PQS within 24 hours.

How do I update client information?

If an existing client needs details updated in ResearchMaster and the PQS please fill in the online form. Please note that this form does not automatically update client information in the PQS. You must access the projects separately and update manually.

What sort of activities should be entered into PQS?

All research, consultancy and transnational related activities with an external party or external parties should be entered into PQS.

When should I start entering a research and consultancy activities into PQS?

All research and consultancy related activities should be entered into PQS before the proposals are submitted to the client(s).
