Twenty Really Good Grants Scheme: ARC Discovery Projects and DECRA (TRGGS)
The aim of the TRGGS scheme is to encourage selected UniSA researchers of demonstrated high calibre or potential to submit the highest possible quality ARC Discovery Project or DECRA. One of the elements of this scheme is the peer review of each grant applications selected into this scheme in a 'Hot House Session' which includes:
- Using a Mock ARC Review Panel which includes experienced internal and external peer reviewers to review all of the components of each application in depth. The first named CI for each application will also be members of the Disciplinary Mock Review Panel and will participate in the review process for each application discussed by that Panel (up to 5 applications)
- Provision of a written assessment of each application by a nominated Primary Spokesperson (1SP) for the application.
Participants were selected using the criteria:
- Ranked within 5-25% of unsuccessful project applications in the last
round and did not receive TRGGS funding for this project
AND/OR - The researcher has a track record relative to opportunity which will
support a competitive application for the current
funding round (as deemed by the Dean of Research)
AND/OR - The proposed project application is in an area of strategic importance for the Division/University and will be administered by UniSA (again, as deemed by the relevant Dean of Research).
Ten Really Good Grants Scheme: NHMRC Project Grants (TRGGS)
The aim of the TRGGS is to encourage selected UniSA researchers of demonstrated high calibre or potential to submit the highest possible quality NHMRC Project Grants. The components of the peer review process are the same as those outlined above for the ARC TRGGS above.
Participants were selected using the criteria:
- NHMRC Project Grants submitted in the last funding round which were
ranked 5 and did not receive development funding for this project
AND/OR - The researcher has a track record relative to opportunity which will
support a competitive NHMRC Project Grant application for the next
funding round (as deemed by the Dean of Research)
AND/OR - The proposed NHMRC Project Grant application is in an area of strategic importance for the Division/University, and will be administered by UniSA (again deemed by the Dean of Research).
