ARC National Competitive Grants Program

Overview

The Australian Research Council (ARC) is a statutory agency within the Australian Government. Its mission is to deliver policy and programs that advance Australian research and innovation globally and benefit the community.

The ARC requires that researchers submit their applications for consideration via their institution's research office - at UniSA, this is the Office of Research and Innovation Services.

Australian Laureate Fellowships

Open to applications from outstanding researchers of international reputation.  It provides project funding in addition to a salary supplement and salary-related (on-cost) support. Fellows must play a leadership and mentoring role in building Australia's international competitive research capacity.

The Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) scheme is a separate element of the Discovery Program. The DECRA scheme will provide more focused support for researchers and create more opportunities for early-career researchers in both teaching and research, and research-only positions.

The last day for submitting proposals under the 2017 round of the Linkage Projects scheme is 19 December 2017

The Linkage Projects scheme provides funding to Eligible Organisations to support research and development (R&D) projects which are collaborative between higher education researchers and other parts of the national innovation system, which are undertaken to acquire new knowledge, and which involve risk or innovation.
