Services
for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) receives
funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing
and other sources to manage national programs and undertake projects
supporting the rural and remote allied health workforce.
This scholarship supports students applying to commence or already undertaking a clinical psychology postgraduate course in Australia that provide the qualification required for endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia to become a registered clinical psychologist. Only Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited postgraduate courses, offered by coursework at a fifth and sixth year of study, are eligible. The APAC website lists all of the accredited courses.
The Scholarship is for a maximum 2 years full-time equivalent course of study at $15,000 per year. The Department of Health and Ageing have approved courses at the Masters level. Approval for courses at the doctoral level is pending.

Only applicants that meet at least one of these criteria will be considered. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, referee reports, relevant professional experience, and degree of strength of evidence for the relevant criteria. The MHPSS: CP will make a significant impact on the number of Clinical Psychologists working in these areas of need.
