The Centre for Work + Life is seeking a high-calibre PhD candidate to consider research on topics that would fit within the broad remit of the Work, Gender Equality and Regulation Research Program. This may include topics such as:

Value and benefits

The award includes a stipend of $28,715 tax free per annum (2012 rate) for 3 years and a Research Training Scheme Place which covers the payment of tuition fees to undertake a doctorate by research for a maximum period of 4 years.

Benefits are commensurate with those for USAPA scholarship holders and you should read the USAPA scholarship benefits and conditions (PDF file). These conditions apply to all people who accept offers from the University of South Australia for the APA or USAPA scholarship. This scholarship is not transferable to any other institution.

Research on the problem of gender inequality at work and the role of employment regulation

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand citizens who are residents of South Australia.  Applicants for the PhD scholarship should have an Honours or Masters degree with relevant experience in the research themes and disciplines relevant to the Work, Gender Equality and Regulation Research Program.  For full details of eligibility conditions please read USAPA scholarship benefits and conditions (PDF file).
