Vacation Research Scholarships for undergraduate UniSA students

High Achiever Vacation Research Scholarships - solve a puzzle this summer and get paid doing it!

Are you an undergraduate UniSA student curious about research? Do you want to find out whether doing research in your field of study is your future career direction?

Two scholarship opportunities are available:



High Achiever Vacation Research Scholarship

If you are a high-achieving student in your second, third or Honours year with a strong academic record, this scholarship may be for you!

A Vacation Research Scholarship offers you the opportunity to undertake research for up to 8 weeks with experienced researchers, usually between November and February, in a recognised research institute or centre within UniSA. The scholarship provides a stipend of $300 per week.

Successful applicants

As a condition of the scholarship, you are required to write a short report (1 or 2 pages) on the research undertaken and submit it a few days before the end of the scholarship period to your supervisor(s), with a copy to the Graduate Research Centre (research.degrees@unisa.edu.au).


eResearch SA Summer Scholarship 

eResearch SA is offering up to 10 summer scholarships for students to undertake eResearch projects that utilise advanced information and communication technologies (ICTs) to support research.

Scholarships are available for a period of up to 8 weeks during the summer vacation (November 2011–February 2012) and come with a tax-free stipend of $300 per week.

Students will receive training in eResearch technologies and work on a project that relates to any aspect of eResearch SA's activities or services in:

  • research collaboration
  • data management and sharing
  • high-performance computing
  • visualisation and haptics
