Partnerships
UniSA is committed to bringing together multidisciplinary teams to work with industry, government, other education providers, and the professions across Australia and internationally on projects that are both relevant and beneficial to the industry and community. Research achievements
- UniSA doubled its research income from $26.5M in 2004 to $58M in 2009 and is on track to double it again.
- We have attracted world-class researchers from institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge and London universities; the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces; the University of Melbourne; UC Berkeley; and Colorado State University, to establish and build research in key disciplines.
- Some 66 percent of our academic staff hold doctorates, and in 2010 the University was in the top 10 in Australia on this measure.
- Since 2009, academics from UniSA have been awarded seven Australian Research Council Future Fellowships, and a National Health and Medical Council Australia Fellowship and Senior Principal Research Fellowship.

Research degree programs
You can choose from a wide range of programs for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Masters by Research. Professional doctorates designed to meet the needs of industry and professional groups are also offered.
As a research degree student you will be able to participate in a vibrant research culture in one or more:

In addition to administering national scholarships, UniSA offers a range of scholarships at the local level:
- Australian scholarships - Australian Postgraduate Awards, Australian Postgraduate Awards - Industry, Indigenous Scholarship, Rural and Isolated Scholarship
- International scholarships - President's Scholarship
- Vice Chancellor & President's Scholarship - if you are in the top 7 of scholarship recipients, this additional scholarship of $10,000 will support your research
