Purpose of the scholarship
Completion scholarships provide funding of up to six months living allowance*. They are directed primarily towards research degree students who are enrolled non-traditionally (eg candidates undertaking a PhD part-time).
Generally, the panel will not consider applications from research degree students who have held a scholarship such as an APA, APA(I), USAPA, President's or division, institute or school scholarship. Only if there are exceptional or extenuating circumstances will consideration be given to allocating completion scholarships to prior scholarship holders.
* As an alternative to a living allowance, international students may prefer to have their tuition fees paid for one semester.
Are you eligible?
Research degree students must:
- currently be enrolled at UniSA in either a doctoral degree by research or a masters by research
- have completed their data collection or equivalent

- be within their candidature time
AND
- if part-time, or working, provide evidence that time release is available to work on the writing-up on a full-time basis
- not hold a living allowance scholarship
- not be a continuing UniSA academic staff member.
