  • have completed your data collection or equivalent
  • be enrolled as a domestic student. International students are not eligible for this scholarship

Duration of the scholarship

Fee relief is applied to your enrolment for the duration of a Research Period; you may not apply for fee relief for specific dates within your candidature. The Research Period dates can be found in the table below.

From 2016 research students are enrolled in a Research Period 1 and 3, or Research Period 2 and 4 enrolment pattern. Your enrolment pattern is determined by your commencement date and you will maintain the same enrolment pattern for the duration of your degree. Students that commenced prior to 01/01/2016 will be enrolled in Research Periods 1 and 3. Students that commenced after 01/01/2016 will have been advised of their enrolment pattern in their offer letter details.

You can check your enrolment pattern in the Enrolment tile of your student research portal. This will show whether you have been enrolled in Research Periods 1 and 3 or Research Periods 2 and 4. If you are unsure of your enrolment pattern and for which Research Period you should be applying for fee relief please contact research.students@unisa.edu.au

Note: Consumption changes, such as load changes or leave of absence, during the fee relief period will not affect your fee relief dates. The fee relief scholarship will only be for the dates of the research period it is applied.
