Aims
Service Improvement aims to:
- engage the University community in a process of looking at the way we do things, to seek their ideas about service issues and desired service outcomes, and work together to make improvements
- develop skills in the University to review and analyse processes and regularly plan for improvement and development of our services
- evaluate good practices in other parts of the University and where appropriate, in other organisations, and apply these where they make sense
- reduce administrative tasks undertaken by academic staff and where possible remove unnecessary administration altogether
- clarify roles and responsibilities and align professional structures across all three organisation levels (School/research concentration, Division and central units)
- establish service standards and identify measures of performance to enable monitoring and further improvement of services
