To help you acclimatise to the University, and better understand your role and responsibilities within it, we provide new staff with access to a range of induction information and activities, professional development opportunities and support services.
Your supervisor will be the best first point of contact for you on most matters, but you will find that there are many other sources of advice and support in your School, in your Division, at your campus, and in the wider University.
Induction
The Induction site for new staff provides you with an overview of information about UniSA.
The Quick Guide for Sessional Academic Staff has been developed to provide you with key information specific to your role as a sessional academic.
A range of other quick guides are available to all staff and provide information on topics such as research, ethics and equity and other key facets of your employment.
OHSW & IM Induction
All employees including sessional (casual) employees who are required to work on campus need to complete an OHSW induction. This should be conducted by local areas and signed off by the relevant supervisors with records kept locally. Further information about OHSW & IM induction and training can be found on the relevant OHS & IM webpage
The Learning and Teaching Unit
The Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) site for sessional academic staff provides advice on the services and resources that have been developed specifically to help staff involved in teaching and learning at UniSA.

A quick link to the information can be found on the remuneration page of the HR Unit website.
The Quick Guide for Sessional Academic Staff also has some basic information on how you will be paid, the relevant paperwork required and a list of contacts.
