Work/life balance

Work Life BalanceUniSA places huge importance on getting that much sought after work/life balance right. We know a happy, healthy workplace is a more productive one. Yes we work hard, but we never lose sight of what’s important in life.

Enjoy flexibility

Flexible work options have been introduced to further enhance our positive working environment. There are a range of options available to help you, whether it be in the short-term or long-term – you can liaise with your supervisor to come up with a flexible working plan that works for both parties. Outside of your working hours you’ll also enjoy an annual leave entitlement of 20 days.

Enjoy well-being

Healthy body: healthy mind - the two go hand-in-hand. We offer a range of facilities to help you keep fit, including modern gymnasiums and yoga classes. We also run UniSA team based activities, including the Corporate Cup and City to Bay Fun Run. You can even start up your own event and get everyone involved!

It’s not all leg-bending and iron-pumping. We offer a comprehensive range of health services such as massage, physiotherapy and podiatry. Our health professionals will help to ensure your wellbeing both inside and outside of work. The UniSA employee health plan also offers access to quality and affordable health cover – again underlining the importance we place on you.

Enjoy the future

There’s no limit on how far your UniSA career can take you. We believe everyone has a right to education and our people benefit from a variety of learning and development opportunities. Both academic and professional staff are encouraged to continuously grow. We offer financial support and study assistance, along with an Indigenous Development Fund – ensuring you learn the necessary skills to progress.

Through our Centre for Work + Life, the Learning and Teaching Unit and Organisational Development teams, we’re constantly sourcing, conducting and evaluating professional development. It’s all part and parcel of the UniSA difference.
